Professional Profile

The Master in Health Economics will have the capabilities to:

• Contribute to the decision-making processes around the efficiency and allocation of resources, so that they contribute to the improvement of population health, especially those with greater vulnerability.

• Formulate health interventions and technologies that allow strengthening and improving management in public and private entities regarding population health goals, with efficiency and equity.

• Evaluate the dynamics of markets and health systems, so that situations that may affect the scope of health results are identified and solutions are proposed in this regard.

The Master in Health Economics may work in different fields of action, whether national or regional for Latin America and the Caribbean, within institutions, organizations and public and private entities such as:

• National and subnational governments of Latin American countries.

• Multilateral organizations that guide actions in depth, research and development related to health economics, such as the WHO/PAHO, the Inter-American Development Bank-IDB, the OCDEC, the ECLAC and other organizations operating in social policy in Latin America.
