I enjoyed working with residents, seeing patients in infectious room and ICU, meeting students and attending the International Congress of Antimicrobial Resistance.– Elana Shpall / Yale University - USA. Rotating Internal Medicine (Infectious Diseases).
I did a 4 months internship at the University Hospital of Valle. I am very grateful for that opportunity. My plan was to see Colombian culture, improve my Spanish and expand my horizon in medicine. After a few weeks of learning the system and gaining more confidence in Spanish language, I was given more and more tasks. In the end, I worked independently just like my other colleagues and I learned a lot. I was able to suture, to put a thorax tube, to organize new income, to dance salsa and finally to sing at least some parts of “Cali pachanguero”, of the musical group Niche. Thanks Cali and ...“Cali es Cali, lo demás es loma”. – Frank (28 years old, internal doctor, Germany).
