Mission

• To contribute to country social development, by training and integrally forming human resources in Oral Health, to respond to the needs generated by society.
• To participate in formulation of health policies and commit to its implementation.
• To introduce social and humanistic sensibility, human and biopsychosocial values, and willingness to change, by promoting respect for individual and collective rights and national values.
• To promote the improvement of teaching, research and extension in buco-maxillofacial health.

Objectives

• To train professionals capable of integrating scientific and technological aspects in a global way, applying it to their social context in order to generate changes in their environment, in ethical, scientific, social and professional issues.
• To promote in its students research, teaching, self-training and cultural and scientific perfection.
• To develop in their students abilities that allow them to promote health, to diagnose alterations of the stomatognathic system and to apply knowledge and techniques for prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of such alterations.
• To recognize and apply the administrative process in different levels of their professional activity.
