Objectives

  • To use concepts of Modern Administration to plan, coordinate, direct, execute and evaluate actions related to research in Occupational Health.
  • To emphasize on scientific teaching method applied to the field of Occupational Health, in order to develop researches related to work conditions of worker population and its interrelations with operative and general environment.
  • To train students in the application of the epidemiological surveillance method in studies and research related to Occupational Health.
  • To train students in prevention of the occupational diseases and accidents, through early detection of occupational pathologies and work-related affections.
  • To teach how to interpret the current legal rules on Social Security and Occupational Health in the country.
  • To train students in the bio-physco-social situation of workers in relation to the organization of work, and interaction between man and work.
  • To teach fundamental elements of toxicology.
