Mission

The academic program of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation aims to provide to physicians the necessary knowledge, skills and aptitudes to be a specialist of the highest scientific, investigative, administrative, human, ethical, social and occupational quality. A specialist able to respond to environment needs, both in preventive and curative of patients with disabilities, by offering a comprehensive rehabilitation to achieve their most efficient reincorporation to family, social and work life and with the best quality of life possible. Using for this all resources in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Language Therapy, Social Work and Psychology.

Objectives

To train a medical professional with necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes for proper management of all those aspects related to promotion of health, prevention of disability and attention of people with alterations, that cause them disabling conditions, so they can be reintegrated in most efficient way to their family, work and social life according to their remaining capacities.
