Mission
To train general surgeons and physicians with social leadership, solidarity, high academic and technical level, committed to research, and with futuristic, ethical and humanistic vision, ready to satisfy needs of medical and surgical care, resolve consultancy and knowledge extension issues.
Objectives
- The objectives of the General Surgery Program are:
- To form a graduate who offers the best result in medical care of patients with diseases of surgical and non-surgical treatment.
- To train a qualified graduate to act responsibly, critically and positively in a human health group and society, who can lead and support processes that respond to health needs of communities, in assistance , scientific and administrative aspects.
- To train a graduate who, always acting within moral, ethical and bioethical principles, has skills and attitudes in teaching, research, self-evaluation and improvement, as a person and as a professional.
