Mission

The specialization Program in Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy has as mission to educate Physiotherapists at postgraduate level through diffusion and generation of knowledge that allow them to acquire the professional skills required for an excellent performance in care of people in situations of cardiopulmonary disability or at risk of acquiring it.

Objectives

To train competent specialists who can meet demands of work environment in cardiopulmonary field. The Physiotherapist Specialist will be able to:

• Design, execute and evaluate programs of promotion, prevention and intervention in cardiopulmonary physiotherapy from the acute phase to functional recovery.
• Generate development projects.
• Develop training programs for other professionals and for the community. Participate in research projects that contribute to the development of the area.
